technologically confused

so, its pretty often that i walk up to the door of my apartment and try to unlock it using my keyless entry for my car. thats nothing new. but recently i have tried to unlock my cardoors by pushing the call button on my bluetooth (earpiece for cell phone). all this great technology is making me confused. : /
