my sister is coming in march and i am so excited because i looked at the calender and next week is march! yay! sorry boring post today but i cant post anything else right now, no time, too dramatic, yada yada.

technologically dependent

im driving to my soccer game in rush hour traffic last night when i decide to call my dad for the third time, just for fun, just because i got a bluetooth device for christmas and its really fun to put this tiny phone on your ear and talk and drive your car at the same time. however, not 10 seconds into the conversation, my phone beeps letting me know that it is going to die, and to promptly end my conversation. so not only do i have to hang up, but i have to TURN OFF my phone, thus not allowing me to see who calls! oh no! so i turn up the radio to entertain myself. then i see my gas light on. whoops. so i have no phone, no gas, and a game i must make it to or i will die from soccer deprivation. this is bad news. i dont know which is worse...the realization that i am extremely dependent on technology...cell phone, car, computer, etc...or the thought that i might miss my soccer game if i run out of gas. no worries, i made it to my game. and kicked the living snot out of our opponent. ; )

happy birthday dad! this post is dedicated to you, the most wonderful, caring, loving father in the whole entire world! who loves me more than anyone could even fathom and would do anything for me! well, dad, i love you more than you could ever imagine, and i would do anything for you! im sorry for all of the hard things you have had to go through these past few years, i wish i could take it all away. and yes, i am writing this to you and you don't read these postings (thank god cos you would've killed me by now), its just the principle of the thing. i love you, you mean the world to me, happy birthday!

10 year old self

Wow, so I'm sorry to say I can't take credit for this, I read this on Goonieheart's blog, but this is just way to good to pass up. Goonieheart, im sure you're tired of these 10 yos postings by now, but it just cracks me up, so let me first say thanks for letting me snag your (or the radio's) idea...

Question being: If I could take my 10 year old self to lunch, what would she think of me?
My answer: she would be really proud of me, and happy for me, and we would get along so well it would be a little creepy. here's a glimpse of our conversation together (this is all very real to me in my head)

10 year old self: so, how old are you anyways?
24 yos: 24... im so old... 24 is like halfway to 48, i dont think you understand how OLD i am.
10 yos: i am 10... that is sooo old... im in the DOUBLE DIGITS now. none of this single-digit business. i dont think you understand how old i am.
24 yos: yeah, im really old, but i missed that last thing you said because i lost focus...what?
10 yos: what? sorry, i um, i lost my concentration, what did you say?
24 yos: wanna go play soccer?
10 yos: yeah lets go.

so, in conclusion. i am a 24 year old that acts the same way as i did when i was 10. is this a good thing? hmmmm...
